Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $60,000-$90,000*

*Salary range $60,000-$90,000 depending on your incentive earnings, which are based on performance.

As a Freight Broker at Universal, your goal is to help customers move their inventory in the most cost-effective way by identifying and providing logistics solutions. You will have the opportunity to build solid relationships with carriers and manage your individual carrier base while working in a team environment.

Ideal candidates possess the following characteristics:

  • Proficient math skills needed to calculate rates per mile, etc.

 Job Description: Seeking applicants for a Clerk in the Support Services Department. Our Call Center is offering positions for 2nd shift, 3rd shift, as well as Weekend Shifts! This position is ideal for candidates with high attention to detail. Universal has several proprietary systems put in place to increase the efficiencies and reduce training time. Support Services Clerk’s quickly learn about different aspects of the company and are encouraged to apply for other internal roles as they become available. We promote from within!

Primary Responsibilities will include:

· Gathering information from Carriers/Drivers via Phone, email

· Inputting information into the system to update other Universal representatives

· Notifying other Universal representatives of potential issues regarding the shipment

· Relay information to drivers/dispatchers regarding their shipment

Universal Capacity Solutions is looking for a person-focused individual to join our team in the role of Business Development Manager. You will partner with a fast paced lineup of professionals who build each other up and care about the individuals they serve while being supported by a strong company culture. In this position you will be paired with a Business Development Representative who is focused on bringing in new opportunities to your assigned territory while your focus will be on managing the existing book of business and meeting with our customers face-face. . For this role, our ideal candidate has Sales experience in the Transportation industry while also embodying our core values of Grit, Focus on the Person, Development and Accountability. Responsibilities: Primary responsibilities for this position will include managing existing business, reporting to leadership weekly on the status of your territory, fostering relationships with high level customer contacts, holding operations accountable to customer KPIs, having face-face/virtual meetings with customers/prospects and developing your Business Development Representative. To do this you will be required to analyze customer data and detect opportunities for growth as well as assess risk for slippage. You will also develop action plans to recover slipping business by reviewing customer scorecards, monitoring trends, and working with internal and external customers to resolve service issues. Finally, you will have the opportunity to manage pricing opportunities with our in-house rating team in order to land new and expand existing business within your territory.
